In the book “Think and Grow Rich”, it defines persistence as “the essential factor in the procedure of transmuting desire into its monetary equivalent.” And also said the basis of persistence is the “power of will”.

1. Failure to recognize and clearly define exactly what you want.

A lot of people don’t really know what they want which makes it difficult for them to know where they going or what they want to achieve in life.

2. Lack of interest in acquiring specialized knowledge.

Your interest in acquiring knowledge will aid you to persist but, if you lack or has no interest in that, then you lack persistence. How can you are stay on track when you have no knowledge in what you are doing?

3. Lack of organised plans.

You can not persist if you don’t have plans which are organised. Persistence requires definiteness of plans. Lets say, you want to make $1,000 in a week. You will have to create plans which will lead or direct you to acquire that amount of money. It will be backed with persistence.

4. Wishing instead of willing.

People who lack persistence have a lot of wishes rather than making things work or doing something that will aid them to achieve what ever they are wishing.
For example; you are wishing to buy a new car this year. but the only way you can buy that car is willing to work towards it.

5. Searching for shortcuts to riches.

Most people often want shortcuts that will make them rich.
Trying to get without giving a fair equivalent, usually reflect in the habit of gambling.
With such habit, one is identified to lack persistence.
They fall off if what they intern to achieve does not work fast as they want it.

6. Blaming others for your mistakes.

We often blame others if things doesn’t go well as we want it. This is also a sign that you lack persistence. People who persist do not blame others for their own mistake.
They take the blame themselves and find ways to improve.

7. Procrastination

A person who is willing to do something doesn’t not procrastinate. Procrastination is defined as ” the action of delaying or postponing something”.
If you live with persistence which is the “power of will”, you will find out that, a person who lacks will power, lacks to persist.
